NARI | Hands-On Linear Accelerator Model

Project Story

The source describes linear accelerators as an important tool in clinical radiotherapy and relates the work of NARI to this field. Maxmodel's challenge was to explain the equipment's complex operation visually, including tumor targeting and the protection of surrounding normal tissue.

Research and Model Design

Our team visited the laboratory to learn how the accelerator works. Model designers used those references to build a detailed representation with hands-on mechanisms, allowing visitors to operate the model manually.

Manual Interaction

Magnetically attached, hand-operated components demonstrate the accelerator's operating angles and range of motion. A custom central sliding platform is integrated into the overall design.

Finish and Portability

The platform uses carbon fiber to support a realistic appearance and convenient transport and display. The compact model combines 3D printing and exterior detailing to provide an accessible explanation of the equipment.
