Project Story

Environmental Conservation Organization worked with Maxmodel on a 180 × 100 cm model of the Xinwu stone fish weirs. The project combines a teaching aid with a carefully finished landscape display.

Landscape and Fishing Practices

The model introduces Xinwu's stone weirs, local biodiversity and the actions of fishers. Its physical proportions help visitors understand the height and appearance of the weir structures.

Lightweight Construction and Reinforcement

3D printing reduces weight, and fiberglass reinforcement strengthens the internal structure during finishing. The resulting physical scene conveys spatial relationships that are difficult to judge from aerial photographs alone.

Education and Guided Visits

The model is tailored for educational, promotional and guided presentations, combining landscape craft with an explanation of stone-weir fishing.
