HURC | Stairwell Pressurization Interactive Model

Project Story

Displayed at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, the interactive model presents a fire-escape scenario in which smoke spreads through a stairwell. The source explains the role of a pressurization fan and a dedicated smoke exhaust opening. Approximately 60 cm in size, the model shows the building in section.

Fire Lighting and Simulated Smoke

Changing LEDs on the second floor simulate fire. A smoke generator demonstrates smoke spreading through the stairwell, and a concealed ventilation mechanism clears it from the model.

Interactive Presentation

The team tested different approaches and used flat-profile figures and visual treatments to keep attention on the movement of people and smoke. The source reports that the display attracted visitors, including then-President Tsai Ing-wen and the premier, who viewed and operated it.

Education and Public Communication

The model offers a visual way to introduce fire evacuation concepts. The project also aims to support the client's public communication and online visibility for the exhibition.
