Taiwan Social Housing Exhibition 2023 | Rainwater Recovery Model

Project Story

For the 2023 Taiwan Social Housing Exhibition at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Maxmodel designed a rainwater recovery model for the urban renewal center. It shows rain collected through inlet openings, treated through several filtration stages and reused for landscape irrigation. Buttons, lighting and programmed controls explain the concept.

Recovery and Stormwater Detention

The model demonstrates storage according to weather conditions. In the scenario, prolonged rain can exceed the detention basin's capacity, prompting a solenoid valve to release excess water. Visitors use buttons to explore the process.

Client Review and 3D Visualization

Close work with the client helped keep the scenarios accurate. 3D renderings supported design agreement and production planning, with the schedule managed around the exhibition.

Lighting and Spatial Design

LED specifications and lighting placement were selected to make the sequences clear in the model. At the exhibition, these interactive effects offered visitors a physical explanation of residential resource reuse.
