Longtian Chacha | Interactive Vintage Excavator Model

Project Story

For 隆田 chacha 文化資產教育園區, Maxmodel created an interactive excavator inspired by equipment from the Japanese colonial period, adapted for a contemporary visitor experience.

Two Interaction Modes

One mode activates automatically through a sensor; the other lets visitors operate the excavator with a joystick. Together they support both casual viewing and hands-on exploration of its movement.

Durability and Maintenance Access

The design considers the possibility of damage from visitor handling. Removable assembly covers provide access for future maintenance and repair.

Testing and On-Site Installation

The service includes positioning and installation as well as fabrication. The source describes client operating tests at Maxmodel before installation, followed by on-site fixing and wiring planned for continued display use.

An Educational Interactive Exhibit

The excavator combines hands-on operation with attention to maintenance and durability, applying model-making and mechanism design to a cultural education setting.
