Project Story
The source places this project in the context of Taiwan's energy self-sufficiency challenges and its 2050 net-zero objective. It describes the importance of developing domestic renewable resources for energy autonomy and security. Academia Sinica selected Maxmodel to create a model showing the layout and operation of an ocean current generating system.
Making Energy Conversion Visible
3D printing reproduces the underwater equipment arrangement and operating principles. Moving mechanisms show how the kinetic energy of ocean currents drives the generating units, while lighting highlights the energy conversion sequence.
Building from Technical References
We worked with specialists and collected detailed photographs to guide the model. It shows electricity generated from ocean currents traveling through undersea cables to shore-based electrical equipment and onward to factories and homes.
Supporting Public Explanation
The model introduces the potential of ocean current generation and its relationship to sustainable development. Maxmodel's exhibition support helps Academia Sinica communicate the technology to the public.
Model-Making for Energy Research
The collaboration combines model-making skills with the presentation of green energy research. It reflects Maxmodel's involvement in explaining emerging technologies and environmental concepts.
